Montreal, October 24, 2018 – Nearly 200 tax and accounting professionals were on hand at the company’s fifth annual event, held in Montreal, Quebec on October 22 and 23. Tax and accounting professionals from across the country were able to collaborate and network with Thomson Reuters’s staff, expert speakers and colleagues.
Thomson Reuters hosts Synergy conferences in six different locations around the world. Synergy Canada is the only conference of its kind held simultaneously in both English and French.

DT Tax and Accounting was pleased to welcome Evelyn Jacks, founder and president of the Knowledge Bureau and bestselling author as well as Jean-Guy Talbot, Founder & CEO of RêveNew Practice Management/Talbot & Associates. Also on hand were representatives from the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) and Revenu Québec (RQ), discussing updates and objectives regarding their respective electronic services for the coming years.
The conference included a panel discussion on the future of tax and accounting. Panellists shared their observations on cloud computing, keeping up with security advancements and taking measures to protect firms and their client data among many other topics.
Synergy Canada also offered attendees four different interactive workshop sessions to choose from. Attendees earn CPD (Continuing Professional Development) credits as part of their day of learning and networking.
