About

Hank White joined Practical Law Canada from The Bank of Nova Scotia where he was Legal Counsel responsible for providing transactional advice to the bank’s International Banking and Trade Finance groups. In his eight years with The Bank of Nova Scotia, he gained extensive experience negotiating and drafting agreements for international corporate lending and finance transactions. Hank commenced his career in private practice as a corporate and commercial associate with the law firm of Miller Thomson LLP in Toronto, where he practiced in the Financial Services group for six years, specializing in secured lending. He has acted for financial institutions and borrowers on domestic and international transactions that include syndicated loans, asset-based loans, dealer and equipment finance as well as conventional lending. Hank is the Past-Chair of the Business Law Section of the Ontario Bar Association, a member of the OBA’s Personal Property Security Legislation Committee and a Senior Lawyer Editor for Practical Law Canada's Finance service.
